Boston Spa Hockey Club has solid foundations within the local community with the 2005-'06 season marking the clubs centenary.
Founded in 1906, the club was originally called Wetherby Hockey Club and played every year (other than 1914-18 & 1939-'45).
In 1956-'57 Wetherby's mixed team amalgamated with North Leeds and Walton, reforming the Men's team and further strengthening the clubs membership. Almost twenty years passed when, due to a pitch relocation, the name of the club changed to Bardsey Hockey Club.
The clubs final transformation came in 1996 when, with the advent of an astro-turf pitch at Boston Spa School, the members chose to become Boston Spa Hockey Club, under which banner the club has gone from strength to strength.
